Fall is a favorite time to be outside and breathe in crisp, cool, air. No matter what our age, we’re never too old to get lost in a corn maze or to walk through a pumpkin patch in search of the perfect orange gourd. The messy job of carving jack-o-lanterns is always fun, and eating toasted pumpkin seeds always delicious. In short, fall is a good time to hit the road and travel from one pumpkin patch to the next; when you reach our area, we hope you’ll stay in our Missoula bed and breakfast.
The Missoula Maze is about 7 miles from our bed and breakfast Missoula, at 1010 Clements Rd. Pick pumpkins, get lost in an impressive corn maze and an equally impressive hay bale maze. You can experience the maze after dark (always a thrill), or tackle it during daylight hours. There will be treasure for geocachers to find, and treasure hunts for children.
Qwivals Family Fun Center is in Victor, about 30 miles south of our bed and breakfast Missoula. The drive to Victor is lovely at this time of year, when fall foliage is peaking – any excuse to hit the road is worth it. At Qwivals you’ll find a haunted corn maze and a ghost town in addition to pumpkin patches and apple cider.
Stop by Wordens Market and Deli in Missoula before heading out for a scenic car ride to pumpkin patches far and near. Their homemade bread and amazing deli items are perfect for picnics – try the Muffaletta sandwich, which is available with or without meat.
