Missoula is planning to welcome 2010 in style, and you should do everything in your power to be there. Our bed and breakfast Missoula is close to downtown and all the festivities.
Remember the Masquerade Ball? We see them in movies all the time, and they always look so fun. At a Masked Ball, you have permission to be anyone you want to be. Have you always envied the glamorous movie stars from the 40s? Do you wonder what it would feel like to sport a peacock’s majestic tail? Now is your chance!
There will be no fewer than five bands performing at the Masquerade Ball. One of those bands will surely play your favorite kind of music. You can plan to stay for the entire evening or drop by for a while – there will be no shortage of events and activities available.
The celebration kicks off at 1pm with a parade, and from then until midnight the city of Missoula will be given over to fun. There will be a shuttle bus transporting folks from place to place. Stop by the Courthouse Lawn to see this year’s ice sculptures, carved by the chefs of the University of Montana. Swim at Currents Aquatic Center, or ice-skate at Glacier Ice Rink – or both. There will be magicians, face painting, and sonnets on the sidewalk. Art Galleries stay open late, several dance troupes will perform, and you’ll be able to listen to many musicians. Huddle around the bonfire when you need to warm yourself.
Don’t let the fact that you live a good distance from Missoula deter you; plan to stay at our Missoula bed and breakfast and experience First Night Missoula.
