There are two fun events on the horizon at the Missoula Art Museum: Artini Auction: Wear Oh Ware, on February 18, 2010; and the 38th Benefit Art Auction on Saturday, February 27, 2010. Both events are at 5:30 pm. Be sure to book your rooms at our Missoula bed and breakfast now!
According to the MAM website, “Artini Auction: Wear Oh Ware features fabulous hand-crafted jewelry, one-of-a-kind clothing, ceramics, glassware, furniture, and more. The thirty pieces in the Artini Auction: Wear Oh Ware will go to the highest bidder in a high-energy event on Thursday, February 18.”
Sound fun? It is sure to be. Even if you are not interested in bidding, it is worth heading to the MAM to see this wearable art. Your personal sense of style may never the be same again.
While you are there, be sure not to miss the fifty pieces going up on the block on February 27th. MAM has pulled together an outstanding collection of contemporary art by both established and emerging artists. You’ll see works by well-known regional artists such as Stephanie J. Frostad alongside those of national artists such as Don Voisine. These and other established artists share the walls with Dara Harvey, Danny Crump and Caitlin Finley, who are making their first appearance at this longstanding event.
These two opportunities are great reasons to step out of your routine and treat yourself to a night or two at our Missoula inn. The Artini Auction and the Benefit Art Auction will be festive occasions. You should do something festive for yourself.
