Montana White Water Rafting

As the snows melt in the mountains, the rivers swell. That means there is great whitewater rafting in Montana these days, especially in the rivers around Missoula. Are you the adventurous sort? If so, reserve a room at our Montana bed and breakfast and contact a Missoula rafting outfitter.

Rafting is exhilarating, whether you’re floating down Class I or Class III rapids – it’s all a question of perspective and experience. The guides in and around Missoula are professional and experienced. Safety is paramount, as is creating an exciting expedition for all on board.
Half day trips generally last between 3 and 4.5 hours. Full day trips usually last 5 to 8 hours, with a riverside lunch included. Some outfitters even offer gourmet dinner trips, departing in the early afternoon and returning close to 8pm.
The Blackfoot River, the Clark Fork River, Alberton Gorge, Hellgate Canyon… see the most beautiful waters of Montana, right in Missoula’s backyard. Norman Maclean wrote about the Blackfoot River in A River Runs Through It, and while we can’t guarantee that you’ll be inspired to write a book after your rafting trip, we are pretty sure you will feel inspired. Come see for yourself.
Rafting requires lots of energy, so we promise to feel you well at our Montana bed and breakfast before you head out on your excursion. Upon your return, we invite you to sit back and take in views of the Bitterroot River and Valley.
10,000 Waves, Montana Rafting, and Trail Adventures are a few of the whitewater rafting companies in the area. Please visit our Missoula Area page for a list of other businesses.
